On June 18, Feldmar Watch Company and Breitling hosted an exclusive event to unveil some of their new 2015 models. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Breitling... but not because I do not think that they are a reputable watch manufacturer, I simply have not connected with any of their models at that level. There are a few collections that I find attractive, like the SuperOcean and Navitimer, but I seem to always end up looking elsewhere...
But if you love the brand, this post is for you! Please enjoy the photos from the event.
This Limited Edition Jet Team Chronomat 44 is one of the few watches that actually caught my attention... the black and yellow is definitely an eye catcher! And I have a soft spot for the "Breitling" rubber strap.
The Galactic Unitime SleekT features a world time function and a new manufacture movement, but in my opinion it lacks personality and looks. And the way the bracelet connects to the case seems quite unfinished for a watch at this price point ($9,000).
The Emergency II is more than just a gimmick, it actually serves a useful purpose if you are an avid explorer and might find yourself in a situation where you need to call for help. The bonus here is that it actually looks pretty nice, specially in the titanium black DLC case version below.
The Chronoliner is a relaunch of their classic chronograph design from the 50s and 60s, but with a few updates, like the new ceramic bezel. Retail price is $7575 as shown below. Gulp.
Unfortunately, they did not have the entire new product line-up (would have loved to see the Cockpit B55 Connected)... but we did get to enjoy quite a few Breitlings. Here are a few more from that night.
Special thanks to Feldmar Watch Company and Breitling for hosting the event.
In a totally Breitling unrelated topic, one of the #lawatchgang members was wearing this special Omega Speedmaster... Love the colors, but hate the plexiglass. A beauty worth mentioning!
I must give props to Feldmar for always having great hor d'oeuvres and drinks at their events. But as if the snacks were not enough, the #LAWatchGang decided to end the night at Versailles, a small Cuban restaurant a few blocks away from Feldmar.
What watch accompanied me on that night? The newest member of the family of course... the Dark Side of the Moon.
