July’s #LAWatchGang GTG was hosted by the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique in Beverly Hills. So besides enjoying our member’s watches and conversations, last month we added a few Jaeger-LeCoultre beauties to the mix… a few Tourbillons and even a Spherotourbillon! Not a bad month!
It seems only fitting that we start this GTG report with the JLCs… these three beautiful watches are part of the Duometre collection, my favorite collection from JLC at the moment. The Quantieme Lunaire with the mesmerizing white enamel dial and white gold 40.5mm case retails for slightly over $50,000.
The Spherotourbillon is amazing… it revolves around the axis in its titanium cage and it turns around a second axis tilted at 20-degrees. This makes the watch immune of the effects of gravity in all positions… but it retails for over $220,000. Coincidentally, the Spherotourbillon was also the most expensive watch at the boutique that night.
The Quantieme Lunaire, looks incredible despite the distracting jumping seconds and retails for a very reasonable $39,200. The Chronographe version is a nice alternative.
This Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon was not too shabby either…
But the star of the night? This stunning two tone blue dial Patek Philippe Nautilus (ref. 5980)… never really thought of owning a Patek until I saw this beauty in person. The blue dial is simply incredible and the bracelet is perfect for my small wrist, no side push buttons that dig into your wrist! Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing, must have!
And here are some of the other watches that made it to the July GTG… Brands include: Omega, Rolex, IWC, Audemars Piguet, Maurice Lacroix, Nomos, Vacheron Constantin, and many more (not all pictured below).
Special thanks to Jaeger-LeCoultre Beverly Hills for hosting our #LAWatchGang GTG in their beautiful boutique.
