For October's #LAWatchGang GTG, @toysofawis surprised the OGs with a customized polo shirt! Thank you again! As usual, a lot of familiar faces, but we also had two newcomers with interesting watches. The selection at October's GTG was quite varied. Remember, if you are a watch aficionado and would like to attend our monthly #LAWatchGang GTG, please feel free to contact me.
First off, the awesome #LAWatchGang polos! @toysofawis and I wore ours for the first time to this GTG.
The two newcomers brought with them a Weiss Standard Issue Field watch with white dial (on a beautiful blue strap) and an IWC Portuguese Automatic 7-Day (ref. IW500109) with black dial.
The two Portuguese brothers next to each other... and I could not help but notice the ever so slight resemblance of the Weiss Field watch to the white dialed IWC Portuguese Chronograph (ref. IW371446).
The two Patek Philippes of the night... a Gondolo Calendario (ref. 5135R) which is now discontinued and the Nautilus (ref. 5712).
The Grand Seiko GMT... definitely not a piece you see often. Not many people "get" the concept or the pricing of the brand Grand Seiko... but handle one and you will understand why this Seiko is worth thousands.
The Breitling SuperOcean... big but comfortable. I really like the adjustable mechanism that is built into the deployant buckle.
Other watches from this month's GTG included: Sinn, Cartier Calibre, Omega Seamaster 300, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Diver, Rolex Datejust II, IWC Mark XVI, and a vintage Heuer.
One of our members also showed up with this really cool and functional movement cufflink! Certainly an accessory that every WIS should own and wear with a suit ;-).
And of course... the table shot... or table shots!!!
